MyTabs is a free mobile app designed for nurses and shift workers to manage their work schedules and communicate with their team. You can view your shifts, add yourself to available days, receive announcements, and send messages to colleagues — all in one place.
MyTabs is perfect for anyone working shifts — nurses, nursing assistants, caregivers, hospital staff, clinic workers, and any team that needs to coordinate rotating schedules. You don't need your employer to set it up — anyone can create a team and invite colleagues.
Yes! MyTabs is completely free to download and use. All core features — scheduling, announcements, messaging, and team management — are available at no cost.
MyTabs is available on iOS (iPhone/iPad), Android phones and tablets, and as a web app at app.mytabs.dev that works in any modern browser.
No! You can use MyTabs independently. Any nurse or team member can create a group, invite colleagues by email, and start coordinating schedules together. It's a tool for you and your coworkers.
Download the MyTabs app or visit app.mytabs.dev. Tap "Sign Up", enter your email and create a password. You'll receive a confirmation email — click the link to verify your account and you're ready to go.
You can delete your account at any time. Open the app → go to Profile → tap "Delete Account" and confirm. All your data will be permanently removed. You can also email us at contact@mytabs.dev to request deletion.
Yes. We use industry-standard encryption to protect your data. We never sell your personal information to third parties. We only collect what's necessary to run the app — your email, name, and the schedules/messages you create. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
On the login screen, tap "Forgot Password" and enter your email address. We'll send you a link to create a new password. Check your spam folder if you don't see the email within a few minutes.
Open the Calendar tab → tap on the date you want to work → tap "Add Me" or the "+" button. Your name will appear on that day's schedule, and your team will see that the shift is covered.
Open the Calendar tab → tap on the date → find your name in the staff list → tap "Remove" or swipe to delete. You can only remove yourself from future shifts, not past ones.
Go to the Messages tab (or "My Shifts" tab) → tap "New Message" → select the colleague you want to message → type your message and send. Messages are private between you and the recipient.
If you're an admin, go to the Staff tab → tap "Create Group" → enter your team name. Then invite colleagues by entering their email addresses. They'll receive an invitation to join your team.
Admins can post announcements from the Messages tab. Tap "New Announcement" → enter a title and message → tap "Send". All team members will see the announcement and receive a notification.
MyTabs requires an internet connection to sync schedules and messages with your team. However, you can view previously loaded schedules when offline — changes will sync when you're back online.
When you first open MyTabs, you'll be asked to allow notifications. If you declined, you can enable them in your phone's Settings → find MyTabs → turn on Notifications. This lets you receive alerts about schedule changes and new messages.
First, check that notifications are enabled in your phone's Settings for MyTabs. Also make sure the app isn't being blocked by battery optimization (Android) or Focus mode (iOS). If issues persist, try logging out and back in, or reinstall the app.
Try these steps: 1) Check your internet connection, 2) Close and reopen the app, 3) Log out and log back in, 4) Update the app to the latest version, 5) Reinstall the app. If problems continue, contact us at contact@mytabs.dev.
We appreciate bug reports! Email us at contact@mytabs.dev with a description of the issue, what you expected to happen, and what device/browser you're using. Screenshots help too!
